Synners made the trip to Bedlington to open their league campaign and came home with a point in a 1-1 draw.

It was Bedlington who struck first as they opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a JOE THOMPSON strike. The home side had the better of the first half and went in at the break a goal to the good.

Billingham looked stronger after the break and created plenty of chances. The leveller came in the 83rd minute when, after Matty Willsahw was brought down to the right of goal, he then drilled the free-kick into the six-yard box where JOE SCAIFE-WHEATLEY saw the ball home.
