The Billingham derby ended in a draw in a dramatic night at Bedford Terrace where Synners came from 3-1 down to earn a point with both sides having a man sent off.
Town opened the scoring from the penalty spot after just 3 minutes when skipper Jamie McLeod was adjudged to have fouled in the box; KIERAN STARES converting the spot-lick.
Synthonia found the leveller in the 17th minute with a ball in from the right from Luke Hogan seeing ASH LAVAN get the deftest of touches on the ball to send it past the keeper.
After a Synners goal was chalked off for offside, Town regained the lead in the 25th minute when a corner from the right found KIERAN STARES who headed home.
KIERAN STARES claimed his hat-trick in the 36th minute when a mistake in the Synners defence saw him take the ball in on goal and lift a shot over Synthonia keeper Sam Taylor and in.
After the break and Synners were on the front foot from the off and were rewarded with a goal in the 52nd minute when a ball forward to substitute Matty Willshaw saw a defensive header off the goal-line from his shot; Synners regained possession with MATTY WILLSHAW receiving the ball again and tucked his shot into the bottom right corner.
Town were reduced to ten men in the 58th minute when John Stephenson was sent off following a second yellow card.
Synthonia were denied again by the assistant referee with a very marginable offside. They would level the game up though when, in the 82nd minute. a Lavan corner from the left was met by JAMIE DAVIS who headed home at the near post.
Synners were then reduced to ten men when Lavan was shown a straight red card following a tackle on the half-way line.
