Synners travelled to Grangetown for a League Cup 1st Round tie and exited on penalty kicks.

Billingham took the lead in the 43rd minute with ASH LAVAN carrying the ball forward in an advanced position and finding the bottom left corner of the net with his shot from the edge of the box.

Synners would rue a missed penalty in the 64th minute as Ryan Appleby saw his spot-kick saved by home keeper Michael Duff.

Grangetown found a late equaliser as they sent the game to penalties with a goal in the 80th minute as THOMAS EGLINTON saw the ball home from close range following a free-kick from the left.

Into the lottery of penalty kicks and after all penalties had been converted, it was Foster Garton who was the unfortunate player as he saw his spot-kick saved by Duff.
