Synthonia travelled to a top three side for the third consecutive weekend and brought home a point in a backs-to-the-wall display against Horden CW.

It was Synners who opened the scoring when, in the 37th minute, Ryan Appleby won possession in an advanced position and threaded the ball left to LUKE HOAGAN who tucked the ball past the advancing keeper and into the bottom right corner of the net.

The home side were left frustrated, missing numerous chances but were awarded a penalty kick after 70 minutes when Jamie McLeod was adjudged to have fouled in the box. Jack Pounder stepped up and saw his shot strike the right hand post.

Horden had chance after chance with Sam Taylor in the Synners goal keepeing them out until the 95th minute when DAVID DOUGHTY scrambled the ball home from a last gasp ball into the box.
