Ten-men Synners went down to a late goal after clawing back a two goal deficit to leave empty handed at their first league fixture at Stockton Town's Map Group Stadium.

Billingham were reduced to ten men in the 13th minute when Lewis Porritt was shown a straight red card following a challenge on Jarrow's Benjamin Shodeinde.

The visitors opened the scoring after 26 minutes with Shodeinde laying the ball off for RYAN HARDIE on the edge of the penalty area and he sent in a great strike past Ben Fairless into the net.

Jarrow doubled their lead in the second half when, in the 50th minute, a strong run on the right resulted into the ball being played across goal for CALLUM JOHNSTON who took a touch before finding the net with his shot.

Billingham were back in the game with a goal in the 56th minute with Jack Winstanley on the right playing to MATTY WILLSHAW who shot home first-time.

Synthonia were level in the 72nd from the penalty spot following a handball offence. MATTY WILLSHAW stepped up to fire in from twelve yards.

Jarrow scored what proved to be the winner in the 88th minute with BENJAMIN SHODEINDE making a strong run down the centre of the park and under close attention from two Synners defenders he was able to muscle through and see the ball home from close range.
