Synthonia travelled to National League North side South Shields in the county cup and exited the competition in a 3-0 defeat.
Shields opened the scoring in the 24th minute when a right wing cross fell for LEWIS HENRY on the edge of the penalty area who sent in a great strike into the net.
The home side doubled their advantage after 37 minutes with a through ball from midfield to JONAH FLEWERS seeing him shrug off Synners defenders before firing home into the bottom right corner.
Billingham did well to match their opponents in the second period, but South Shields added a third goal late on when in the 89th minute a shot on goal saw Synners keeper Sam Taylor make a good save; the ball came to FRAZER BARKER on the dge of the box who hooked the ball home.
