Synners travelled to Newcastle University at Prudhoe and came back with a point after a spirited performance after going down to ten men through Matty Willshaw's red card.

Willshaw was dismissed following a challenge near the halfway line touch-line which the Referee deemed a straight red in the 12th minute.

University opened the scoring after 19 minutes with a low cross from the left being shot home from close range at the back post from KANE MORRIS.

After the break and Billingham were soon level with a 47th minute DECLAN BROWN goal when Ash Lavan played to him on the edge of the box and Brown released a great strike into the net.

Newcastle University were in front again on 55 minutes when BEN LONG latched onto a loose ball wide right and cut inside a defender before sending a pin-point shot into the top left corner of the goal.

Synthonia took home a share of the points with a 74th minute leveller; Luke Hogan saw a shot blocked but was able to retain possession and crossed from the left to DECLAN BROWN who got in front of a defender to head home.
