Billingham welcomed Newcastle Blue Star to Stokesley Sports Club and lost out in 3-1 reverse.

An early chance for Synners saw them break quickly with Matty Willshaw shooting from the right, but past the far post. Blue Star threatened with a shot from the left in the box which Synthonia keeper James Young stopped.

The visitors continued to threaten with Dan Lanning again bringing a save out of Young. Synthonia responded as Leo Kirkbride played in Willshaw with Blue Star keeper Callum Dobson pushing his shot just past the post.

Willshaw again came close when he got on the end of Mitch Noble's right wing cross, but saw his header strike the left angle of the goal frame. He wasn't to be denied though when, in the 24th minute, MATTY WILLSHAW headed home from Noble's left sided corner.

Blue Star had chances to level before the break, the most natable being a Michael Richardson shot which Young was a match to with a good save.

The visitors started the second period on the front foot and levelled the game up in the 50th minute when a right wing corner came to CURTIS COPPEN to head home.

Three minutes later and Blue Star had the game turned round as they took the advantage when after Dean Holmes saw Young save his shot, MICHAEL RICHARDSON followed in to fire home.

In the 59th minute Newcastle Blue Star added a third to cap a fine ten minute period for them. Nelson Ogbewe burst down the left flank into the box and cut the ball back for DAN LANNING to score.

Billingham had chances to get back into the game with shots from Jack Winstanley, Jonny Peacock and Noble, but the visiting side took home a deserved three points.
